What is a Managed VPS Hostserver ?
A Managed VPS Hostserver is a Server provided by us with specific ressources ( CPU / RAM / HDD / IP Addresses / Traffic ) to the customer who can use it as hostmachine to create virtual servers through our WHMCS L7-VPS Module. We will do the server management for the customer. So he does not need to take care of it.
What is the difference between a Managed VPS Hostserver from Layer7 and a server from another provider ?
In the Managed VPS Hostserver the servermanagement is already included. The customer does not need to take care of it. Layer7 will monitor, update and backup ( does not include the VPS's itself ) the server. In case of a Failure, Layer7 will take action themself and fix the problem independent from of the customer to get it back online.
What is this L7-VPS WHMCS Module ?
L7-VPS is a WHMCS provisioning module and addon in one software. It enables your WHMCS to provide virtual servers ( VPS ) to your customers without any additional software.
How do i install L7-VPS WHMCS Module ?
As soon as you register an account and bought your first license, you will find in the download section of our clientarea a .zip file with all neccessary files. All you need is to extract this .zip archive and upload the content to your WHMCS root directory and create a cronjob on your server that host your WHMCS install to execute the cron.php file inside of the modules folder of the L7-VPS module. Exact install instructions can be found in our clientarea.
What are the minimal system requirements for L7-VPS WHMCS Module ?
You will need:
On your WHMCS:
-PHP 5.6 or better
-PHP SSH enabled
On your VPS Hostserver:
- LXD 3.0 or better
- 500 MB of free space
- SSH Daemon enabled and accessable from your WHMCS
